BEGINNER MEETING

Beginner meetings are usually a series of six meetings held before a regular meeting or in a separate group. Led by an experienced Al-Anon member, who explains alcoholism as a disease with far-reaching effects, beginner meetings introduce newcomers to our program through the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions and acquaint them with various basic pieces of literature. Beginner meetings generally focus on the first three steps.

If you have never been to an Al-Anon meeting, please visit "First Steps to Al-Anon Recovery" where you'll find many answers.
